For years and years my wife and I have enjoyed EVERYTHING on the menu at Pizzeria Defina on Roncesvalles in West Toronto. If you are looking for the BEST pizza in Toronto, look no further!

Recently, we popped over for a dinner fix and noticed that the restaurant was closed briefly for renovations. I saw that large beautiful blank wall that runs along the bank seating and thought I should reach out to Roksolana, the owner (and awesome lady) of Pizzeria Defina and inquire about hanging some of my art.

So I sent off an email. To my surprise, Roksolana got back to me so quickly I didn’t have any pieces available. I reached out to my printer GTA Image and explained the situation and they put a rush on 4 feature pieces for me! Thanks Patricia!

I wanted to curate something special for Rox and Defina. I created three pieces on metal and one framed fine art giclee to sit in the window in the front of the restaurant.

The metal pieces are all very limited editions. I only print 3 copies of some of my work. Once those pieces are purchased they are never available in that medium again.

I selected four of my favourite (and never previously released) personal images to show. I wanted a local vibe so I selected two of my images of the iconic Humber Bridge next to the Palace Pier just down the street from the restaurant.

The Humber Bay Arch Bridge is probably one of the most photographed bridges in the city. Designed by Toronto architectural firm Montgomery Sisam Architects Inc. in 1996, the steel superstructure that connects the two ribs of the tied arch resembles an abstract version of the Thunderbird, an indigenous icon of the Ojibway who occupied the site for almost two hundred years.
